Health Promotion Support Specialist
Role at CSRR:
As the Health Promotion Support Specialist, my focus is on strengthening the relationship between our clinicians and the community we serve. In this capacity, I provide intake, billing, and administrative support. When clients first contact CSRR, my priority is to provide warm, efficient, and transparent assistance to connect the client with needed services.
I am gearing up to offer individual and community health education at CSRR in the near-future.
What motivates me to do this work?
My life as a military spouse has taken my family around the world. No matter where we are stationed, I have found a fulfilling and rewarding career in health education. My goal is to help the Department of Defense, military, and their families become the healthiest versions of themselves.
Background
I have an educational background in nutrition education, health programming, and a Master’s in Public Health. I am also a certified personal trainer for adults and youth. Over the past decade, I have worked in health and wellness education with DoD employees at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with US Marines and their family members stationed in Okinawa, and with US Marines at Wounded Warrior Battalion-East in Camp Lejeune.
Specialty areas
Health and wellness education and personal training.
Passions/Interests
In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, bird watching, playing board games and video games, cooking, and (most importantly), eating!!
